Is it possible to do the right thing for the completely wrong reason? In Lesson 2 of our Stewards of the Creator series, we dive into "The Danger of Heartless Giving."
While the physical act of giving is important, God is looking far beyond the offering plate—He is looking directly at our hearts. In this session, we explore:
- Empty Compliance: Why Jesus condemned the Pharisees for strictly tithing tiny spices while completely neglecting the weightier matters of justice, mercy, and faith.
- The Spirit of the Law: The stark difference between a grudging, "letter-of-the-law" obligation and the joyful, cheerful giving that God actually desires.
- Mirroring the Ultimate Giver: How offering God our absolute best—rather than our leftovers—helps replace our selfish human nature with the generous, outgoing character of our Creator.
Join us as we learn to stop just going through the motions and start giving with a heart that truly honors God as a great King.
